2014: In with a Bang!

We’re only a few weeks into 2014, and already I feel like this year is flying!

We kicked off the new year in Reno to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding and pre-wedding festivities.  The bachelor and bachelorette parties were New Year’s Eve at the Grand Sierra Hotel and Casino.  The night was filled with fun, dancing, drinks, and a little chaos, as any good bachelor/bachelorette party should be!

The wedding was held New Year’s Day at a beautiful lavender field.  Bridget looked gorgeous, Brian was quite the gentleman, and little Olly was cute as ever.  The whole event was just wonderful, and Ian and I were honored to be part of it all.  It was such a beautiful, fruitful way to begin 2014. The wedding was a 1920s theme, which was so perfect for new years.  Black, gold, sparkles, champagne, suspenders, glamour, and a photo booth!

IMG_1348IMG_1355After we returned home to CO, I sped off to Steamboat Springs for a girl’s weekend with some of my long-time girlfriends.  We stayed at our friend’s parent’s house and spent the weekend laughing, catching up, eating delicious food, relaxing, and frolicking in the snow.  It was a wonderful way to end winter break and recharge a bit before I had to go back to work.

This weekend I attended a bridal shower for my best friend Kristin.  I am pleased as punch to be her matron of honor next month and so excited to continue celebrating her the next few weeks.  Her shower was lovely, and she looked absolutely gorgeous!
